Townsville Fatal Traffic Crash: 16 Year-Old Killed in Fatal Car Accident

A teenage boy has tragically died following a two-vehicle crash in Townsville on the night of 26 March.

Shortly after 10:15 pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Fulham Road and Nathan Street, Vincent, following reports that a trailbike had collided with a grey Subaru Forester.

The trailbike rider, a 16-year-old boy from Heatley, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a life-threatening condition. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on 27 March.

The 33-year-old woman driving the Subaru was uninjured in the incident.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses and are seeking any relevant information, including CCTV or dashcam footage of the crash or of the trailbike prior to the collision. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit remain ongoing as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
