It is with profound sadness that Centre Stage Dance Company shares the passing of Mia Ryan, one of our cherished 2025 graduates. Mia was a beautiful, vibrant member of the Centre Stage family, whose warmth, energy, and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Mia’s love for dance was evident from the very beginning. She spent 15 remarkable years at Centre Stage, growing not only as a talented dancer but also as a kind, caring, and inspiring individual. Even after her graduation in 2025, she remained closely connected to the studio, always eager to return on Thursdays to contribute and be part of the vibrant dance community she loved so dearly.
Beyond her accomplishments as a dancer, Mia also made a significant impact as an assistant teacher on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She was admired by the students she mentored, offering guidance, encouragement, and support with a smile and a joyful spirit. Her presence in the studio brought happiness, energy, and fun, and she was a source of inspiration and friendship to both dancers and teachers alike.
Mia’s loss is deeply felt by her senior team, the dancers she assisted, and all the teachers who had the privilege of working alongside her. Her love for the studio, her dedication to her craft, and her generosity of spirit will always be remembered.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family—Nik, Leon, and Jake—during this profoundly difficult time. The Centre Stage Dance Company mourns the loss of a truly remarkable young woman. Mia’s memory will live on in the hearts of the dancers, teachers, and friends whose lives she touched. She will be missed more than words can express.
Mia loved the studio, and we loved her.
