It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt respect that we remember James Gray, age 67, of Princeton, who passed away on March 26, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. A devoted family man and skilled craftsman, James lived a life defined by hard work, humility, and a deep love for those closest to him.
A member of Bainbridge Grove, James found fulfillment in life’s simple and meaningful moments. As a self-employed carpenter, he took great pride in building with his hands, creating not only structures but lasting contributions that reflected his dedication and craftsmanship. His work ethic and quiet determination were evident in all he did.
Above all, James cherished his family. He found his greatest joy in time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, treasuring every moment shared with them. His love extended beyond words, shown through his presence, guidance, and unwavering support. He also found enjoyment in riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom and peace it brought.
James leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughter, Rachel Gray, and son, Scotty; his siblings; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends, including his special companion, Ladina Gray. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Leola Gray, and his brothers, William and Eddie Gray.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, his strong hands, and the quiet ways he cared for others. His memory lives on in the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
We extend our sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing. May his memory bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.
