Omiros Omirou Gypsou, Cyprus-Death: In Loving Memory of Omiros Omirou

Our beloved Omiros Omirou passed away peacefully on Friday, 20th March 2026, after bravely facing his final battle. He was surrounded by the unwavering love of his family and close friends, who remained by his side throughout his journey.

Omi leaves behind a devoted and loving family: his wife, Melanie; his two cherished sons, Mikey and Zach; his sister, Yiota; and his parents, Michael and Maro. He was deeply committed to his family, and his presence in their lives was a source of strength, warmth, and constant support.

Omi was a truly remarkable man whose life was defined by dedication, passion, and generosity. He gave his all not only to his family but also to his businesses and his great love for football. His kindness touched countless lives, and he had a unique ability to bring people together through his warmth and sincerity. Those who knew him will remember his generosity of spirit, his sense of humor, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he met. His absence leaves a profound void, and he will be missed more than words can express.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 8th April at 11:00 a.m. at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Twelve Apostles, Hatfield. This will be followed by the burial at New Southgate Cemetery & Crematorium at 1:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather afterward for the wake at Cockfosters Football Club.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to support youth development at Cockfosters Football Club, a cause that was very close to Omi’s heart.
