It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Paul Polonsky, a dedicated member of the Hamilton Public Safety team, who died suddenly on Tuesday, March 24th. Paul had served the Town of Hamilton as a Part-Time Dispatcher for the past five years, providing steadfast support to the community and ensuring the safety of residents and fellow first responders alike.
Paul’s commitment to public service spanned over four decades, and his contributions were felt across the North Shore and beyond. Over the years, he served in multiple roles—both as an officer and dispatcher—with numerous departments including Ipswich Police Department, Boxford Police Department, Topsfield Police Department, Beverly Police Department, Danvers Police Department, Endicott College Department of Public Safety, and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. His breadth of experience, professionalism, and dedication made him a respected and valued colleague in every community he served.
A true family man, Paul had the honor of serving alongside both his son and daughter in recent years, demonstrating the deep roots of service and commitment that defined his life. His warmth, integrity, and unwavering dedication to public safety left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
